White Water Rafting #2

Well, rafting was quite a adventure. And I would say it was the most fun I have ever had. So we get there on Friday evening. We sat up the tents un loaded the van and the truck. Then we stayed up 'till about one. Sleeping on the back of a truck on top of the kayak is not what I call comfortable, but we made it through the night. We woke up with the anticipation of going rafting. So finally we get on the river. I was sitting in the front paddling, Kayla was sitting beside me in the middle, Cassie was on the left side, directly behind Cassie was, Sarah on the left, Adam in the middle, Josiah on the right, and Bro. Jim guiding. So everything goes alright until Broken Nose. We took it good until somebody was behind us and they ran under the boat. Cassie falls out,Josiah and Kayla are trying to help her in the boat. And me,Sarah and Bro. Jim are still paddling. So we finally get Cassie back in the raft and all is well, until We go down surprise. and boy was it a surprise!! What surprise is, is a dip with a rock in the middle. We got stuck on the rock with water pouring on us. So what we had to do is, Bro. Jim and Josiah got out of the boat on the rock, While me and Kayla, Sarah, Cassie, and Adam all got in the back of the boat, Bro. Jim and Josiah picked up the front of the raft and pushed in to the current. That was all right for all of us in the boat, but it proved as a problem for Bro. Jim and Josiah. They were stuck on the rock while our raft was floating aimlessly down the Ocoee with no guide. So some nice people help us guide the boat on to a rock where we got stuck,so Bro. Jim and Josiah could jump in and float to are boat. Bro. Jim made it safely in the boat, but when Josiah tried to jump his foot got stuck on a rock. But he finally got to the nice people's boat and they pulled him in. The only thing we lost was two paddles. Overall it was a good day and I will do it again. So I hope ya'll liked my exciting story. Next time we go to the Ocoee I will present to ya'll episode #3 of the Rock Finders Adventures. See ya'll.

White Water Rafting

In about thirty minutes I am going to be on the road to the Ocoee. I have never been white water rafting, well actually I went on the Hawasi when I was a little kid, but that is not anything compared to the Ocoee. Kayla has been a few times with the Knox's, and Landon has been to the Nantahala,( a smaller rapid in North Carolina) I have been wanting to go, but there has not been room for me the last few times they went. Maybe some of ya'll can come next time. I guess I better go. We are supposed to be going at one but you know how that goes. See ya'll.

strange visitors

This is an armadillo that came to visit us a couple of nights ago. Bama barked at it alot.

Kebrina thinks they are cute. Mom says they have beautiful markings on them. Notice the way that Bama's ears are all perked up...
